In honor of Women’s National History Month,
We’re here to do 3 things... remind you that your body is beautiful, demystify dieting and find pleasure in food in a healthy way. Fad-dieting is a 60 billion+ industry because it doesn’t actually work. Here’s the pattern - we do the program AND it works the first time, we try to keep it up and inevitably fail because it’s not feasible. Then we end up blaming ourselves, gaining the weight back, and when you’re re-inspired (a year later), the diet that worked for you before, you try again.
Sound familiar?
It’s a vicious cycle. So we have the two mama’s from the Body Love Society who have dominated this conversation - they help women become intuitive eaters and feel at home in their bodies.
How did we become a “diet obsessed culture?”
People are so scared of being seen as fat these days, and yes, the Patriarchy has played a role in weight stigma, but there is more to the picture. We have come to learn that there is a parallel between weight stigma and sex stigma and body image has been proven to affect your relationships and sex life.
So can we stop it already?
Lack of pleasure in our life just ain’t worth it. And come on… Food is pleasure. And here at Clit Talk we are all about pleasure.
One of the things the Body Love Society Talks about is how balance is not the answer when it comes to eating. In this episode of Clit Talk we dive deep into what “undieting,” is and why it’s so important.
