Coincidentally enough in 1973 women were guaranteed federal and constitutional protection of abortion rights, therefore our right to bodily autonomy. Which we all know is at risk and in the hands of our 2022 Supreme Court Justices. So it’s a little bittersweet today so we are focusing on actionable steps we can take as a community to celebrate this holiday. Today, it’s just us 3 Clits gettin down and dirty! In 1973 Congress designated August 26th this national holiday to celebrate the importance of the women’s suffrage movement and the work to secure and expand equal rights today. One of those was women’s right to Vote per the 19th Amendment. We’re happy to say that as of January 28th 2022, the ERA, the Equal Rights Amendment has been validly ratified and is now in effect as the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. And coincidentally enough in 1973 women were guaranteed federal and constitutional protection of abortion rights, therefore our right to bodily automony. Which we all know is at risk and in the hands of our 2022 Supreme Court Justices. So it’s a little bittersweet today so we are focusing on actionable steps we can take as a community to celebrate this holiday.
